AMG Group, one of the UK’s leading outdoor equipment companies, announce after a four-year partnership with Mountain Sports Ltd. (owner of Anatom) and Teko LLC (owner of Teko), the companies have mutually agreed to bring their licence and distribution agreement to an end. Consequently, their current agreement has terminated on the 31st of March 2021.
Beyond this date, the companies will continue to work together for three months, to implement a smooth transition and minimise any disruption to their customer base.
Commenting on the end of the agreement, Stephen Newlands, AMG Group CEO, stated;
“It’s always sad when a relationship with great brands such as Anatom and Teko comes to an end. However, our focus as we navigate through these difficult and unprecedented times, is changing, and the Board has decided our growth opportunities in the core camping and outdoor markets need our full attention and resource focus. We would like to take the opportunity to acknowledge and thank Gordon Fraser, and his team, for the assistance and support they have provided over the last four years; they have been great partners and friends to AMG Group and we wish them success in the future”.
Gordon Fraser, Mountain Sports Ltd. Managing Director, commented;
“Whilst I’m disappointed to be ending our relationship with the team at AMG, we are all in agreement this decision is right for both parties, and presents new opportunities for both Anatom and Teko. Our respective strategic goals for the coming years took us in different directions, so we part on the best of terms, and thank AMG Group for their stewardship of the brands over the last four years. I look forward to reigniting relationships with our retail partners, and further developing both brands in the UK and beyond”.
