Vacancy – Junior Web Assistant/Developer

AMG Group Ltd, an exciting multi-branded company (Vango, Force Ten, Lichfield, Rossignol, Trangia, Firepot & Wayfayrer) and one of the UK’s most successful, within the Outdoor & Snowsport Leisure Industry, is seeking to appoint a HIGH CALIBRE INDIVIDUAL to the following vacancy.

Junior Web Assistant/Developer

Based at our Head Office, Port Glasgow, and reporting to the Creative & E-Commerce Manager, we’re looking for a passionate individual to assist in driving the on-line trading of our consumer e-commerce websites, focussing primarily on Vango, Camping Recycled (inc. eBay), Camping spares and Rossignol.

The role is varied, requiring you to analyse and maintain stock levels across our websites, to be involved in website development to help improve conversion rates and to assist with digital marketing aspects to increase web traffic.

The position would suit someone who is passionate about all things web and keen to build their knowledge of web development. A good eye for detail, creative ideas and enthusiastic approach to learning will be essential for the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities: –

  • Work with other Web Developers to improve our websites and optimise customer journey
  • Proactively manage the trading of AMG D2C websites
  • Forecast and manage stock for sales through our D2C websites
  • Engage with consumers and drive interest in D2C websites through digital marketing, working with our brand team
  • Optimise site traffic through content marketing and SEO
  • Be involved in the analysis of digital campaigns, including e-mail and PPC
  • Proactively engage in continual learning and development, within the field of E-commerce
  • Be a contributing member of the Marketing Team, to the benefit of all stakeholders

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS
  • Familiar with using a CMS such as WordPress
  •  Experience using Google Analytics

Good to have (but not essential):

  • PPC campaigns – Google Ads and Facebook ads
  • Familiar with creating e-mail campaigns
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe XD
  • Knowledge of PHP coding
  • An active interest in outdoor activities. Particularly Camping, Hiking and/or Snowsports.
